We bid farewell to Gary Major of Gooding, Idaho, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 5, 2025 at the age of 89. Gary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grant Major and Martha Ella Wolfe Major; and his brother Richard Olson. He is survived by: his wife Claire Louise Slaughter; his sons, Marshall (Leslie) of Meridian, Mitch (Erin) of Kernersville and Matt of Pflugerville, Texas; his brother John Major of Belgrade, Montana; and his grandchildren, Marshall, Leslie, Kade (Adryanna), Chase (Chelsea), Keera, Mitch, Erin, Ben, Alexandra, Matt and Wyatt Gary.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gooding United Methodist Church (805 Main St, Gooding, ID 83330).
