He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grant Major and Martha Ella Wolfe Major; and his brother Richard Olson. He is survived by: his wife Claire Louise Slaughter; his sons, Marshall (Leslie) of Meridian, Mitch (Erin) of Kernersville and Matt of Pflugerville, Texas; his brother John Major of Belgrade, Montana; and his grandchildren, Marshall, Leslie, Kade (Adryanna), Chase (Chelsea), Keera, Mitch, Erin, Ben, Alexandra, Matt and Wyatt Gary.
