It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winifred K Johnston of Grangeville, Idaho, who passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry F. Nuxoll and Cathryn Nuxoll (Beckman); her husband Raymond; her siblings, Victoria Sonnen (Ben), Clarence Nuxoll, Evelyn Sarbacher (Ray), Esther Westhoff (Germain), Eugene Nuxoll (Jennie), Andy Nuxoll, Ted Nuxoll (Sara) and Dolly Mager (Johnny); and her children-in-law, George Elliot and Candace Johnston.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Elliot (Bill Stone) of Stites, Joanne Teats (Melvin) of Kooskia, Donna Deal (Mike) of Pomeroy, WA, Jerry Johnston (Peg Gehring) of Grangeville, Janet Johnston (Eric Robie) of Grangeville and John Johnston of Grangeville; and her grandchildren, Jeff Elliot (Rachel), Chris Elliot (Ella McCalidaine), Alan Teats, Aaron Teats (Meghan), Kristi Rallu (Arthur), Nathan Teats (Cassie Moran), Kevin Teats, Kara Casey (Danny), Brenda Bye (Cody), Brian Deal (Danielle), Maria Hattrup (Matt), Daniel Johnston, Eric Johnston (Brittany), Russell O'Brien (Tracy), Kylie O'Brien (Justin Treib), Autumn O'Brien, Klae O'Brien, Megan Calkins (Wyatt), Jayden, Jennifer, Julie, Wyatt, Will, James, Caleb, Elijah, Allison, Kendall, Declan, Corbin, Marshall, Garrett, Stewart, Parker, Jackson, Kaylee, Theo, Emilia, Sophia, Becket, Henry, Sam, Derek, Dwight, Dillon, Liam and Jacob.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Sts. Peter and Paul School.
