He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Schmidt and Frances Schmidt; his siblings, Harold Schmidt, Donald Schmidt, Jean Hottinger and Karen Lindquist; and his son Mark.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Shelley Presnell (Doug), Kevin Schmidt (Kim), Diane Brown (Derek), Kristi Bruegeman (Neil) and Kerri Beckman; his grandchildren, Shane, Presnell, Lacey Chaffee, Haleigh Coursey, Garrett Schmidt, Lexi, Riley Brown, Devin, Sydnee, Easton, Kylah Bruegeman, Drew, Ian Beckman, Amaya Wolfe and Clarissa Bain; and his siblings, Roy Schmidt and Doris Sonnen. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (1070 Greencreek Rd, Greencreek, ID 83533). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
