He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nelson and Betty Nelson (McRoden). He is survived by: his wife Carol Nelson; his children, Blake Nelson, Larissa Nelson (Manila) and Valerie Nelson; his siblings, Brent Nelson (Rapid City) and Sherilyn Carmody (Sioux Falls); and also Daniel McMonagle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
