She was predeceased by : her parents, William Call (Bill) and Marie Call Williams (Barrett); her siblings, Russell Call, Lorraine (Charles Lovell), Elaine (Norm Hockering) and Dorothy (John Jessick); her parents-in-law, Elmer and Esther Benson; her brothers, Carl (Ida Benson), Jerry Miguta (Alene) of Coeur, Jack (Maxine Benson), Harold (Nelda Benson) and Tom of Anchorage, Alaska.; and her grandchildren, Mark, Matt and Amanda.
She is survived by : her husband Norman Benson; her foster son David (Penny Oliver); her friends, Helen Johnson, Iris Buchanan and Donna Kislig; and her grandchildren, Patrick of Rathdrum, Desie of Rathdrum, Elmer of Rathdrum, Christi of Rathdrum, Victor of Rathdrum, Marie of Post Falls, Melissa, Payton and Owen of Hayden.
When Covid closed the senior center, Gladys and three friends (Helen Johnson, Iris Buchanan, and Donna Kislig) continued to meet every Wednesday at each other's homes and had lunch and played cards.
