He is survived by: his sons, Robert Rickel, Kenneth Rickel (Cathy) and Randall Rickel; his stepchildren, Wayne Wakefield, Gwynn Barnes, Cynthia Beyer and Debbie Donaldson; and his niece Janet Powell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
