Robert Helmick wrote a sympathy message

“Our condolences to Janet and family of Vernon Castle. We moved from our home of 53 years in Hidden Valley Addition, in the fall of 2020, to Liberty Lake, WA. So we did not hear of Vernie’s passing until recently. We have fond memories of our business and personal relationships with Vernie and we cherish these memories. With our move, and the death of our son Matt from brain cancer in December of 2021, we have become a little isolated from other valued friendships, so I am sorry about the delay.”
