He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lloyd Stommel and Mildred Pauline Henderlider Stommel; his grandson LaKoda Stommel; and his great grandchildren, Kaiden Moser, Ema Kidman and Oaklee Beard.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Stommel of Idaho Falls; his children, Karyn Bradshaw (David) of Rigby, ID, Kirk Stommel (Christine) of Shelley, ID, Kent Stommel (Mary) of Ammon, ID, Krista Donaldson (Dan) of Ammon, ID and Stormy O'Connor of Montgomery, IL; and his brother Roger Stommel (Barbara) of Mapleton, UT. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Panorama Hills Ward.
