He was predeceased by: his parents, David L. Swanson and Beatrice Virginia Slater Swanson; and his brothers, Donald, LeRoy and Robert Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Louise Enell of Idaho Falls, ID; his children, Kevin Swanson of Idaho Falls, ID and Vicki McMannon (Steven) of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Patricia Vest of Idaho Falls, ID and Joyce Hill of Idaho Falls, ID; and his grandchildren, Erin McMannon Robb (Jason Robb), Michael McMannon and Natascha Buschmann.
