He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Drewes and Lois Jean Wilhelm Drewes; his brother David Drewes; and his son Gared Dale. He is survived by: his wife Penny Irene Drewes of Idaho Falls, ID; and his sons, Derek Drewes (Veronica) of Buckeye, AZ, Tyson Drewes of Buckeye, AZ and Kellen Dale of Idaho Falls, ID. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
