It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Briant Schmier of Idaho Falls, Idaho, who passed away on August 11, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Schmier and Dora Veto Schmier; his son Stacey Schmier; his son-in-law Robert Vail; his brother Jake Schmier; his brother-in-law John Gellings; his grandchildren, Bryan, Brent Godfrey and Holly Godfrey; and his great grandchild Tucker Duncan.
He is survived by: his wife Jennie Schmier of Idaho Falls; his daughters, Teresa A. Vail (late Robert) of Idaho Falls, Donalene Purser (Dennis) of Shelley and Linda Godfrey (Keith) of Idaho Falls; and his siblings, Joyce Gellings of Idaho Falls, Wanda Traughber and Jerry Schmier (Verlene). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
