He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Meckle and Dorothy Strobel Meckle; his former wife Judy Ann Rolfson; his son Michael John Strobel; his siblings, Connie Rygg, Eldon, Alan, Larry Meckle, Johnny Ray Strobel, Gertie Laib and Linda Doll; and his brothers-in-law, Reuben Martin, Edward Doll, Ervin Gunsch, Bill Werle and Willie Laib.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Wade Scott and Michelle Irene; his wife Sandy Criddle Strobel; his children, Wade Strobel (Ericka) of Pleasanton and Michelle Hysell of Aurora, Colorado; his stepchildren, Alyn Criddle (Melinda) of Idaho Falls and Delynn Ball of Phoenix, Arizona; and his sisters, Carol Martin of Harvey, Mary Werle of Velva and Debbie Gunsch of Mandan. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
