He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Robert Johnston and Helen Loletta Schneiter Johnston; his siblings, Earl Johnston, Tommy Johnston (Opal), Ellen Walker and Gay Bateman (Dee); and his brother-in-law Bob Sager.
He is survived by: his wife Charleen Johnston of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his children, LeAnne Wallace (Greg) of Rigby, Todd Johnston (Terri) of Ammon, Shauna Rose (Max) of Idaho Falls, Teena Lords (Darin) of Grant, JaNae Sorenson (Paul) of Smithfield and Kurt Johnston (Andrea) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sisters, Shirley Sager and Fern Hall (Tom); Ralph Johnston (Joy). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 19 step-great-grandchildren.
