He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Beins and Pearl Henrietta Chappell Beins; his wife Doris Beins; his sons, Milton Barker and Layne Hansen; and his granddaughter Heidi Barker.

He is survived by: his sons, Tyla Barker (Debra) of Idaho Falls, ID and Howard Beins of Idaho Falls, ID; and his sister Karen Barrows of Camarillo, CA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 36 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild.
