He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlando Albert Hardcastle and Ruth Tolman Hardcastle; and his siblings, Karen Hardcastle Black and Kim Tolman Hardcastle. He is survived by: his wife Ida Hardcastle of Idaho Falls, ID; his children, Lloyd Albert Hardcastle (Kirsten) of Bountiful, UT, Adrienne Ida Woolstenhulme (Eric) of Idaho Falls, ID and Amy Ruth Cottam (Daniel); and his siblings, Dennis Hardcastle (Marcia) of Sandy, UT, Kent Hardcastle (Jodi) of South Jordan, UT and Cathy Duncan (Scott) of Heber City, UT. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 43 great grandchildren.
After valiantly battling Parkinson's and melanoma, he succumbed to a traumatic brain injury after a fall.
