He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth H. Marler and Nadine Crystal Smith Marler; and his grandson Sean Patrick Daugaard. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Stoker; his children, Jennifer Daugaard (Adam) of Billings, Montana, Nicole Johnston (Dave) of Miles City and Chris Marler (Lexi) of Idaho Falls, ID; his grandchildren, Jake Johnston, Cameron Daugaard, Koal Johnston, Chloe Johnston, Beau Johnston and Tommie Claire Marler; and his siblings, Karen Shragge (Joe) and Eric Marler.
