She was predeceased by: her mother Melva Hunsaker Wheeler; her husband Gene Payton; her father Searl Wheeler; her siblings, Ida Streckert, Karen Scott, Ryal Wheeler and Melva Karen Wheeler; her sister-in-law Laurel Wheeler; and her granddaughter Madelyn Payton.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Laree Kenworthy (George "Ken") of Kuna, ID, Patricia Joy Payton of Idaho Falls, ID, Terry Gene Payton (Debbie) of Idaho Falls, ID, Janice Renee Payton of Idaho Falls, ID and Brian Payton of Idaho Falls, ID; and her siblings, Lamar Wheeler of Ririe, ID, Lanna Bennett of Tremonton, UT and Loa Hayes (FarrDell) of Ririe, ID. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sageview Ward Chapel (1345 Clarence Dr, Idaho Falls, ID 83402).
