He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert Hatch and Betty Genieve Hatch; and his brothers, Thomas Craig Hatch and Ronald Everett Hatch. He is survived by: his children, Ami Jeppesen (Nathan), Ben and Sean Hatch (Tiffany); his former wife Janean Covington Smith; and his sisters, Barbara Bice and Debbie Stoneman. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Civitan Park (900 W Elva St, Idaho Falls, ID 83402).
He joined the National Guard while still in high school, beginning a lifelong record of service and contributions to communities.
