He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Schwieder and Bertha Maretta Patterson; his son Derrald Schwieder; and his granddaughter Mistee Jacobson. He is survived by: his wife Jean Ricks Schwieder; and his children, Doug Schwieder, Jill Stewart (Ken), Toni Ellis (Ross), Janna Young, Jon Schwieder and Chris Nims (Asa). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Coltrin Mortuary (2100 1st St, Idaho Falls, ID 83401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Black Canyon LDS Ward Chapel (4459 John Adams Pkwy, Idaho Falls, ID 83406). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at the Iona Cemetery (4962 1st St, Idaho Falls, ID 83401).
