He is survived by: his wife Maria Sandmark of Kimberly, Idaho; his children, Scott Sandmark (Robin) of Apple Valley, CA, Brian Sandmark (Darlene) of San Dimas, CA, Sylvia Busman of Kimberly, ID and Betty Stimpson (Trent) of Twin Falls, ID; his brother Stan Sandmark (Laura) of Daytona Beach, FL.; his grandchildren, Tyler Sandmark (Amy) of Tehachapi, CA, Ryan Sandmark (Tori) of Tehachapi, CA, Tayler Ottersberg (Kaden) of Pocatello, ID, Alec Busman of Boise, ID, Bryan Stimpson of Boise, ID, Jayden Stimpson of Logan, UT, Ashley Sandmark of San Dimas, CA and Breanna Sandmark of San Dimas, CA; and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Emily Sandmark, Oaklee Ottersberg, Connor and Grant Sandmark.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Farnsworth Mortuary (1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome, ID 83338).
His noteworthy contributions to the military included being named Instructor of the Month in March 1973 in the Electrical branch of the Department of Civil Engineering Training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas.
