She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Downey and Betty Downey; and her brother Tom. She is survived by: her pets, Buddy and Boe; her sons, John Gast and Bill Thurmond; her grandchildren, Ryann and Alishya; her great grandchild Trisha Thurmond-Sanders; and her grandchildren, Sterling and Das.
