He was predeceased by: his parents, David Pennington and Roxie Pennington (McNurlen); his children, Wayne Pennington, Jr. and Penny Hetzel; his grandson Gabriel Gravel; his great grandchild Austin North; and his granddaughter Anna Hetzel.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Sims (Darrell) of Post Falls, ID, Terry Pennington of Smelterville, ID, Cheryl Shelley of Kellogg, ID, Susan Zeitz (Ken) of Pinehurst, ID, Tammie Moore of St. Maries, ID, Margie Kern of Kootenai, ID and Patti Kromer of Kellogg, ID; his sister Helen Carroll of Noxon, MT; and his children, Rocky Wilson, Diane Oertli, Judy Bidel, Edie Wilson, Candy O'Neil, Jerry Sciuchetti, Jodi Hageman, Jacquelyn Wilson and Gwendolyn Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
