He was predeceased by : his uncle Alan Charles Olmstead; his parents, Nancy Olmstead and Jerry Olmstead; his grandparents, Fred Vincent, Nida, Boyd Harrison, Ralph and Hazel Olmstead; and his uncle Boyd Harrison Jr..

He is survived by : his daughter Emily Ann Olmstead; his sisters, Sheila Otto (John McDonnell) and Susan Baldwin (David); his nieces, Aimee North (Aaron), Elizabeth Fricia and Amanda Fricia; his nephew Eric Otto; and his great-niece Andee North. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
