She was predeceased by: her father Tom Hines; and her mother-in-law Teri Hem. She is survived by: her mother Judy Hines; her husband John Hem Jr.; her children, Sean and Lacynn; her sister Julie Clark (Nick); her niece Josie Chase (Logan) of Moscow; her brother Bill Chandler (Sara) of Lewiston; her father-in-law John Hem Sr.; her brothers-in-law, James Hem (Jeff) of Seattle, David Hem (Dena) of Seattle and Aaron Hem (Rozella) of Seattle; Sonya Wilcox, Heather Dyer and Torry Lewis. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

“I've worked very closely with ms carrie (called her ms carrie because of the dance) for over 20 years. Good times we shared out side of work and at work. Every time we had hazmat class together i always saved us our seats in the back row as i knew she would be coming in late...yup and she was late every time, we'd sit in our back row seats and mock the people who kept asking too many dumb questions, ugh- just get us to the test and let us be done.
