She was predeceased by: her parents, Joyce Johnston (Deyo) and Jack Johnston; her stepfather Robert; her parents-in-law, Melcena and Bill; and her siblings-in-law, Don, Darold, Bobby and Maxine.

She is survived by: her son Jeremy Robert Harris (Jenifer) of Grangeville; her husband Kenny; her son Joshua Harris (Sarah) of San Francisco; her siblings, Douglas Johnston of Spokane and Carrie Soldatek (Steve) of Post Falls; and her grandchildren, Sitka, McKinley and Tanner. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and more friends.

Denise's family requests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be expressed through contributions to the Lewis-Clark State College Foundation.
