He was predeceased by: his parents, Magdaleno Lerma and Martha Ontiveros; his siblings, Julius Lerma, Edward Lerma, Paul Apodaca, Guadalupe Mendoza, Ernestina Moreno and Rosemarie Lerma; and his sons, Mark and Shane Lerma.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Bishop; his siblings, Joe Lerma, Alice Lerma, Madeline Lerma and Josephine Valdez; and his sons, John (Cindy), Eric and Daniel Lerma. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cloverdale Funeral Home (1100 N Cloverdale Rd, Boise, ID 83713-7805). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Risen Christ Catholic Church (11511 Lake Hazel Rd, Boise, ID 83709). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Terrace Lawn Memorial Garden (4225 E Fairview Ave, Meridian, ID 83642). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Risen Christ Catholic Church (11511 Lake Hazel Rd, Boise, ID 83709).
