Birch; his close friend Stephanie; his grandparents, Bonnie Mackey and grandpa Birch (grandma Birch); his wife Erica; his stepchildren, Savannah and Christen; his grandson Hagen; his niece Heather Jack; his nephew Trevor Birch; his grandfather Richard Mackey; and his sister Stephanie. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
