She was predeceased by: her husband Lt. Colonel Glenn Franklin; her siblings, Marion Ann Brown and Ed Cole; and her parents, Lyle Cole and Maybelle Cole.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven, Bryan (Donna), Jason (Marilyn) and Bruce (Anissa); her grandchildren, Connie, Neal, Cole, Corey, Chase, Allie, Sean and Cassidy; and her great grandchild Link.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Short's Funeral Chapel (1225 E 6th St, Moscow, ID 83843). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the Silver Room at the University INN Best Western (1516 Pullman Rd, Moscow, ID 83843).
In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of Lyla to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or St Judes Children's Hospital.
