He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Olkonen and Marie Engebretson; and his brothers, Keith and Wayne. He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Tammy Emerson and Kelly Brock; his siblings, Mark Olkonen (Billie) of Bremerton, Washington, Kay Payton of Mullan and Karol Lindstrom of Missoula, Montana; and his stepsisters, Vonnie Pemble, Kris GarItone and Terri Dexter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mullan Historical Society, of which Mickey was a proud member.
