He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Schaefer and Alice Schaefer; his wife Janice Borchert; and his daughter Melissa Schaefer-Farris. He is survived by: his brother Michel Schaefer (Sharon Schaefer); his daughters, Melinda Chynoweth and Amanda Schaefer; his grandchildren, Ryker Loman (Kaetlyn Loman), Avery Chynoweth, Jackson Chynoweth and Zoey Chynoweth; and his great grandchild Ivy Conrique. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
