He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Parkinson Hobbs and Valeta Nelda Hodges. He is survived by: his wife Janet Patricia Mast; and his children, Chris Hobbs, Nathaniel Hobbs (Misty), Jeni Lynn Hobbs, Allie Allen (Justin) and Braden Hobbs.

Nicholas was born to Douglas Parkinson Hobbs and Valeta Nelda Hodges on March 9, 1949, in Paul, Idaho.
