In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Jay leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Jay may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmore Vail and Jeanne Vail; and his sister Marilyn. He is survived by: his sisters, Sandy Cudmore (Pat) and Barb Robertson (Dick); and also Joe Daniels. He is also survived by three nieces, two nephews, one grandniece, and numerous cousins.

The family suggests that, if desired, memorial contributions be made in Jay's honor to the Idaho Humane Society.

“As I prepare for the Nampa High School class of 1975 fifty year reunion in about a month, I have been reflecting on my former classmates and friends. I'm sad that Jay won't be able to physically join us, but his spirit will be with us in our memorial to our classmates. Jay was always a great friend and a good, honest person. I will miss him...
