Marilyn Joan Gunning Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on April 5, 2026, at the age of 96, Marilyn Joan Gunning (Nampa, Idaho) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Scharfen and Katherine Nelson Scharfen; her siblings, Vincent, Francis and Betty Kay; and her husband Rich.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Branson (Bob) and Chris Gunning (Theresa) of Boise; her grandchildren, Greg, Julie, Kari, Marissa, Victoria and Kayla; and her great grandchildren, Brianna, Emily, Kylie, Kiersten and Lillie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Marilyn suggests donations to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Melba, Melba Senior Center, or the Monastery of St. Gertrudes in Cottonwood, Idaho.
