He is survived by: his wife Edith Sue Muntz; his children, Mark Anderson, Kevin Anderson and Christina Anderson Drake; his grandchildren, Keylim, Devin, Jeremy Morrison and Mekinze; his daughter-in-law Michelle; his grandchildren, Devan Drake, Matthew, Jacob, Adam, Anthony, Ian Anderson, Miranda (Austin Drake-Harris), Cassandra (Jeremy Morrison), McKienze Drake, Sandra and Caylin Anderson; his caregiver Deena Smith; his siblings, George, Terre Lyons, Dan and Joy Hammel; his half-siblings, Frank, Kenny, Arlene, Marie and Sue Anderson; and his son-in-law Scott Drake.
He worked twelve hour shifts and was in charge of three wings, one of them the Alzheimer's unit for five years until he started to lose his eye sight in both eyes.
