Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jensen Kotter and Almannie Hale Kotter; and his sons, Dale Robert Kotter and Brian LaVar Kotter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Kotter; and his children, Marian Paskett (Ross), DeWayne Kotter, Jeanette Thompson (Brent), Willa Mae Medel (Henry) and Marnae Holmes (Richard). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; and 61 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (18486 Middleton Rd, Caldwell, ID 83605). A burial was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Brigham City Cemetery (300 E 300 S, Brigham City, UT 84302).
