He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Grover and Jeanne Grover of Piru. He is survived by: his wife Betty Barber of Santa Paula; his children, Deb, Dan, Michelle (Greg) and Wendy (Teddy); and his brother Chuck. He is also survived by three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He also enjoyed crocheting and loved to make slippers as gifts, donating hundreds of them to charities.
