It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Vanderbeek of Nampa, Idaho, born in San Bernardino, California, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Mary Joy; her granddaughter Jasmine Stevens; and her parents, Zila Smith and James Smith. She is survived by: her husband James B. Vanderbeek; and her children, Paula, Nathan, Andrew and Michael. She is also survived by spouses; by 22 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren.
In the midst of the COVID lockdowns she was not allowed to have visitors and the effect of that isolation was very destructive.
