He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Etter and Jessie Margaret Fisher Etter; and his brothers, Emmanuel, James, Oren and Claud.

He is survived by: his daughters, Chanda Rutherford and Denise Clanton; his grandchildren, London Gray, Sierra Trojan and Axton Rutherford; and his great grandchildren, Kaine, Kailus and Octavia.
