He was predeceased by: his former wife Faith; his brothers, Lee Miller and Douglas Jensen; his grandson Nicolas Alvarez; and his siblings-in-law, Arlie Wayne Black and Glena Norris.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Jensen (Vea); his children, Karen Jensen, Gary Jensen, D. C. of Washington, Jimmy Alvarez, Angie Alvarez Stieger (Steve), Melissa (Russell) and Ryan Black (Laura); his aunt Sally Steffen; his siblings, Jane Rachenmacher (Eugene), Peggy Nelson (Bob), Port, Kathryn Stewart (Cheryl), Ralph (Nancy), Mary Ann (Chip), Houst of Boise, ID, Lyle Black (Connie), Bob Norris, Kathy Alig and Keith Black (Bobbie); his grandchildren, Kassi Jensen, Christopher Jensen, Mireya Alvarez, Alexandria Alvarez, Elizabeth Swetland, Sarah Swetland, Abby Swetland, Lily Black, Penny Black and Cade Black; and his great grandchildren, Phoenix Ashworth, Liam Alvarez, Anastasia Jensen and Oakley Jensen. He is also survived by 16 nieces, 7 nephews and their families; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews along with numerous cousins.
James Leroy Jensen, of Payette, Idaho, passed from this world on October 25, 2021, following a valiant fight against COVID hanging on until he was able to see his priest, receive last rites, and hold the hand of his beloved wife, Vea, whom he needed by his side.
