Donna Eileen Akers Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donna Eileen Akers of Pocatello, Idaho, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Donna left this world on February 9, 2026 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald James "Razzy" Gaved and Margaret Eileen Shields Gaved; her husband Sherman "Sherm" Akers; her daughter Amy; and her siblings, Annette Gaved, Jim and Kenny Gaved.

She is survived by: her children, Andy (Debbie) and Angela Lyon (Mike); her son-in-law Eddy Vargason (late Amy Vargason); her brothers, Walt Gaved (Tina) and Cody Gaved; her grandchildren, Ayden, Andrew Akers, Connor Hadley (Janette), Sander Hadley, Reagan, Garrett Lyon and Alexandrea Vargason; and her great grandchildren, Hailie Vargason of Pocatello and Aniston Hadley of Pocatello. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, Donna would have preferred donations in her memory be made to Holy Spirit Catholic School.
