He is survived by: his wife Karen; and his children, Michael Johnston, Russell Johnston, Suzanne Hobbs, Eric Johnston, Greg Johnston and Jeff Johnston. He is also survived by His 24 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren loved and adored their grandpa.

“Jim was my friend. (As he was to others.) We knew each other through many intertwining circles. The last time he and I were together with our spouses was about a month before his passing. We were in the same temple session together. He served faithfully in the Pocatello and Idaho Falls temples, with his dear wife Karen. His humility was very important, he was friends with many people of all economic situations. He had a love for his family and he showed it. I appreciate him. Ralph Baker”
