With sadness, we share the passing of Melanie Hancock (Pocatello, Idaho). Melanie, born on April 7, 1961, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Melanie for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. She was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Twila Cook, Bob Cook, Paul Reid, and Berna Dee Reid; in-laws: Carol and Ron; husband: Robert Hancock; children: Mark, Tesa, Tara (Cordell), and Kala (Nate); grandchildren: Zed, Kollin, Orion, Rollie, Theo, Malcolm, and Sienna; and many siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the LDS Ward (2300 Butte St, Pocatello, ID 83201). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1520 S 5th Ave, Pocatello, ID 83201).
