We announce the death of Opal Sherwood of Pocatello, Idaho, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 95. Opal will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her child Widowed; her husbands, Edmund Hokanson (Eddie), Don Gardner and Max Sherwood; her children, Eddie, Dennis and Alan; and her parents, Walter Nelson and Lula Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Blaine (Pat Hokanson), Susan (Linden Mecham), Brent (Sheri Hokanson), Brett (Vanae Hokanson), Pam (Monty Croft), Bart (Annette Hokanson), Connie (Hal Hirschi) and Opal (Chuck Trudo). She is also survived by her 35 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Wilks Funeral Home (211 W Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, ID 83202).
