He is survived by: his mother Nancy Hicks; his sisters, Celia Bengel and Leslie Ware (Tim); his nephews, Wes Ware (Cherie) and Colton Ware (Sydney); his great-nephew Bryson Ware; his former wife Paula Hicks; his stepchildren, Amanda Bloyd and Alex Bloyd; his grandchildren, Kensi Bloyed, Elliot Sumner and Melissa Candler; and his close friends, Cheryl Smith, Renee Honrada, Charlon Bobo and Dan Parmley.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Riverbend Baptist Church (474 Lakewood Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901).
In lieu of flowers, contributions to his memory should be made to Canopy Village Youth and Family Services (formerly the Children's Village) in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
