She was predeceased by: her parents, William Plass Owen and Luanne Mercer Owen; and her brother-in-law Lin Beacon. She is survived by: her children, Brandon Lazano (Paul) of San Diego, CA, Chad Melanese (Laura) of Kuna, ID, Ryan Melanese (Sandi) of Rigby, ID, Vincent Melanese of Idaho Falls, ID, Lance Kunsaitis (Arynne) of Idaho Falls, ID and Ashley Allison (Cole) of Idaho Falls, ID; and her siblings, Ondra Manzer (Mike) of Mesa, AZ, Ingrid Owen Beacon of Oakland, CA, Leana Eakle (Bob) of Jonesboro, AR, Delyse Froehlich of St. Anthony, ID, Elliott Owen (Christy) of Rupert, ID and Devan Owen of Boise, ID. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a local animal shelter in Dione's name.
