He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Vernon and Onetta Vernon; his former wife Maureen; and his daughters, Wendy and Judy Lyn.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Stevens Lusk; his children, Brenda Laws (Tom), Todd Vernon (Jill), Craig Vernon (Liliana), Jonathan Vernon (Peggy) and Tyler Vernon; and his stepchildren, Debi Wilson (Drew), Julie Beeson (Daryl), Sherri Hillman (Garth) of Roxanna, BJ, Roxanna Vaughn (Thomas), BJ Lusk (Maja) and Tiara Williams (Paxton). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
