It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kent Vernon of Rexburg, Idaho, who passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Vernon and Onetta Vernon; his former wife Maureen; and his daughters, Wendy and Judy Lyn.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Stevens Lusk; his children, Brenda Laws (Tom), Todd Vernon (Jill), Craig Vernon (Liliana), Jonathan Vernon (Peggy) and Tyler Vernon; and his stepchildren, Debi Wilson (Drew), Julie Beeson (Daryl), Sherri Hillman (Garth) of Roxanna, BJ, Roxanna Vaughn (Thomas), BJ Lusk (Maja) and Tiara Williams (Paxton). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sugar City Stake Center (25 W 3rd S, Sugar City, ID 83448).
