He was predeceased by : his parents, James Vestal Christensen and Christie Edith Empey Christensen; his wife Shirley Jane Ritchie; and his brothers, Ray and Danny Christensen.

He is survived by : his children, Jay Christensen of Idaho Falls, ID, Bonnie Christensen of Blackfoot, ID, James Christensen of Idaho Falls, ID, Kathleen Bystrom (Sean) and Levi Christensen (Melinda) of Blackfoot, ID; and his siblings, Mary Charlton, Helen Kelley of Shelley, ID and Phil Christensen (Shirley) of Bancroft, ID. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S Ammon Rd, Ammon, ID 83406). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
