She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Frank Hunter and Elva Christina Anderson Hunter; her husband Elmer Stewart Simmons; her siblings, Elva May Ambroskek (Richard), Valene Foster (Earl) and Floyd Hunter; and her daughter-in-law Jana Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Weeks (Michael) of Ammon, Deniece Preator of Amarillo, George Simmons of Ririe, Frank Simmons (Sherry) of Ririe and Jon Simmons (Juliet) of Meridian, Idaho; and her sister Ruth Swarzman (Louis Kay) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchildren.
