It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lida Petersen Staggs of Rigby, Idaho, who passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Lida departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lida may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lida leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Earial Petersen and Mary McMinn Petersen; her husband Lee E. Staggs; and her son Kevin Staggs. She is survived by: her daughters, Melody Seal, Nikki Staggs and Shauna Bragg (Donnie); and her siblings, Sharon Darnell and Kent Petersen. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
