He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Smart Hawkes and Ida Weyerman Hawkes; and his siblings, Percy Blaine Hawkes, Lawrence Hawkes, Lloyd Hawkes, Norma Ruth Niederhausern and David Hawkes.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Hawkes (Dees); and his children, Bradley Kim Hawkes (Kassie) of Alpine, Utah and Kathy Schmidt (Wayne) of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
